Britain, two deportees thought dead after ferry jump

British Marine authorities think that two people that were being
deported from the Harwich Port to the Hook Port in Netherlands might
have died after they jumped from the ship.

The authorities suspect that they were Albanians and were being deported as illegal clandestine with the Stena Line ferry. 45 minutes after the course that takes seven hours, authorities believe that they have jumped in the Northern Sea.

Police believe that they are Albanian, while they haven’t found anything else on board besides of their jackets. Police doesn’t have the names or their identities. Two helicopters, one from the police and one from the Search and Rescue, together with teams from Border Patrol, have searched the area for several hours, but the operation stopped at 14:00. The Border Agency has been informed about the incident, but they released no comment.

No one knows if the two persons were accompanied by security personnel. The weather conditions were good, but the water temperature makes it impossible for them to survive, unless a miracle has happened.

This is the second time when deported Albanians try to jump from transportation vehicles. Another Albanian jumped from an Eurostar train some time ago, while being deported from London to Paris, and died.
