During a conference organized by the Soros Foundation in Tirana, with
the topic “Ciivil monitor of the Stabilization Association Agreement and
the Guide for 5 priorities”, the former Minister of Integration,
Majlinda Bregu, accused the majority of delaying the integration process
of our country.

The Democratic Party MP underlined that one of the reasons of the opposition’s boycott in Parliament is the lack of accountability in front of the public and citizens.

“The integration is monitored if government control is allowed. One of the reasons why the opposition is boycotting is also the lack of transparency, because the government is not held accountable in front of the citizens about the progress of this process. When there is no consensus, the political criteria is highly damaged”.

Bregu underlined that “there is no date for opening the negotiations for the integration process, and this has nothing to do with the stance of the European Union. I am convinced that the date has not come due to a big internal problem of this majority. Today we don’t hear any declaration or initiative for pushing integration forward. The violations of the majority in parliament and with the laws are delaying the integration process”.
