100 years ago, 385 villages in southern Albania fell prey of the First
World Massacre. After six months of resistance, the residents abandoned
their villages and this moment was used by Greece to extend their
territorial border in Albania.
This date has been remembered by the Borsh residents, in Saranda, to commemorate the sacrifices of our nation.
Prof.Astrit Leka, known for his contribution for the installing of the Scanderbeg statue in Geneva and other European capitals, reminded that what keeps nations going forward is the love for their homeland.
“What will help Albania today is their love for their country. That’s what fights corruption and other negative phenomena of this country”, Leka declared.
In this meeting, the Borsh residents have also greeted the new territorial division.
