EU project, Integrated Border Management, has reserved a fund for the Tushemisht border crossing checkpoint. (UPDATE)
This border crossing checkpoint used to be in very bad conditions, but today it has essentially changed, offering improved service standards to the citizens.
“There’s no doubt that this reconstruction goes directly in the service of the citizens, but it even crosses Albania’s borders, because it is an infrastructure that also serves to neighboring and regional countries”, declared Bujar Nishani, the Albanian Interior Minister.
“A good border management offers to the citizens freedom of movement and also improves war against traffic of human beings and other illegal actions. The constant increase of professional capacities and the inter-institutional cooperation will bring even more efficacy in the integrated border management”, declared EU ambassador, Ettore Sequi.
In the last years, this EU project has reconstructed 10 border crossings in Albania and 17 police stations.
