The first trip of the Belgrade-Mitrovica train has raised tensions in
Kosovo’s northern town, with many media outlets reporting that
explosives may have been placed on its tracks.
The Vice Director of the Kosovo Police for Northern Mitrovica, Besim Hoti, says that right after the news, inspectors rushed on site to inspect the situation.
“There was a news circulating on internet portals about explosive placed on its tracks. We inspected the entire railway, and the news proved to be false”, Hoti said for IndeksOnline.
The footage on IndeksOnline shows several police forces, even the K9 Unit, inspecting the railway tracks.
