Berat and Kuçove residents are consuming Bogove water in their houses,
thanks to an investment of the German government for the project of the
new aqueduct.
The Albanian Prime Minister, Sali Berisha participated in the inauguration ceremony for the first part of the works, together with the German Minister of Economic Cooperation, Dirk Niebel, and local administration representatives.
For the head of the government, this investment is only the beginning of the long network of aqueducts all over Albania.
“We are inaugurating today the first phase of the Berat-Kuçove aqueduct, a project that has been finished with very high responsibility and with the best quality provided by the construction companies, all financed by the German government. This is only one of the many projects that will become reality all over Albania”, Berisha declared.
The 6.6 million EUR investment covers the reconstruction and extension of the water supply system, the installation of the water meters in the town of Berat, and the construction of the 12 km long main line that will supply water to Berat and Kuçove.
