Blushi: “I will run in Tirana. No place for us at Berisha’s tent”

Ben Blushi, leader of Libra, said that he will run in Tirana for the
June 18th elections, his city of birth. He presented the propositions of
him and MP Mimoza Hafizi for amending the Electoral Code. Blushi said
that he would not join the Democratic Party.

“Two old parties administer our elections. They decide for a lower quality, more expensive elections, and they are the only ones with the right to count votes. If there are 66 rivals in these elections, why is it that only two of them can decide? This doesn’t happen anywhere else. DP would have created more sympathy if they abandoned this monopoly. The tent in front of the Prime Minister’s office belongs to Sali Berisha, and it has no place for us”. Blushi said.

LIBRA will demand a 300.000 EUR limited electoral expense for every political party, following the French model. They will also demand a Transparency and Monitoring Board for electoral campaigns, and that electronic voting is prepared with urgency to be applied in the elections of June 18th, 2017.
