Many migratory birds have arrived at the Divjaka-Karavasta National Park. Their large number has made a group of Albanian experts to start a census.
They have identified several types of eagles and storks, for the first time ever, such as the “fish-eating eagle”, “swamp eagle”, vultures, “duck-eating eagle”, etc.
This area could turn into a great winter attraction if it is preserved properly from man-made constructions.
Many of these birds are also endangered by poachers. Although the moratorium has reduced their number, there have been several sporadic cases.
