The Ministry of Energy has started an international bid for the first photovoltaic electricity plant, which is going to be built at the Akerni area, Vlora.
The solar power central will have a 50 MW power, with a total investment value of 70 million EUR.
The Ministry appealed interested companies to bring their offers within September 17th, when the tender will be held.
According to the project, the Akernia solar park will be built by a private company, which will use it for 30 years.
The government guarantees to buy energy from them for 15 years. The rest will be sold to the free market.
The price Albania will buy energy from the solar park wil be decided during the bids.
