Betting shops close around the country as citizens support the government’s decision

5550 licensed betting shops were operating in Albania; many others are still operating without license. With the new law, they will no longer be allowed to operate.

The Albanian Prime Minister took this decision in the second week of last October, while citizens around the country have welcomed it.

Many shops were closed the last days of December, as the government has promised to treat every operating betting shop as a cannabis parcel.
