After the Albanian Prime Minister announced in today’s Parliamentary
session that an Albanian pilot was found dead in a crashed helicopter
while transporting drugs from Morocco to Spain, the discussions on the
floor degenerated with a focus on the Armed Forces.
Berisha blamed the government, saying that this pilot damaged our country’s image to the world, while Rama answered by saying that he had been part of the Albanian Air Forces for the past 18 years, hired by the Berisha government.
The Socialist MP, Taulant Balla, added that the Berisha government has also awarded him five medals in six years.
The former Albanian Prime Minister, Sali Berisha, declared that the opposition should demand early elections, as the main and absolute condition, for saving our country from crime.
Prime Minister Rama reminded Berisha of the successful drug busts in Lazarat, which was untouched by the police during the eight years of Berisha’s government, and added that claiming that this is not a success is a real disgrace for those who voted Berisha.
The Socialist MP, Erjon Brace, accused Berisha of being the real criminal, since four protesters were killed by his National Guard when he was in power. Berisha answered back by saying that their killer is Rama, who brought them in front of the Prime Minister’s office.
This debate went on for hours in Parliament, and few had all MPs to say about the economy, the budget review, which was part of the session. The Democrats had called this budget anticonstitutional, while the Socialists said that the former government has passed several budgets equal to this.
Berisha said that the Democratic Party will ask the opposition to request an investigative commission for the failure of the agreement with CEZ, and accused the government of not representing anymore the interests of the Albanian people.
MP Brace answered with a photo of a vehicle that was used by the Democratic Party leader for blocking the traffic in Tirana, in protest against the fuel price. He said that the cost of that car was 11 million ALL, and it didn’t represent the Albanian people.
