The Democratic Party historic leader, who just resigned from his duties
after the loss in the June 23rd elections, declared that the competition
for the new Democratic Party leader is open and it will be done by
voting; one member, one vote.
Berisha invited the candidates to come within one week, and then the procedures will start.
The new leadership will have the duty to chose the new leaders of the party. Berisha declared that there was no need for the current leaders to resign.
“The Democratic Party has a strength, projects and dedication as never before. The loss should be analyzed by the new leadership and the Democratic Party should prepare for the next battle, which is that of the local elections”, Berisha declared.
Berisha underlined that the new leadership has the fate to have history on its side, and to have a vision for the future of this political force.
