In today’s government meeting, the Albanian Prime Minister, Sali Berisha defended
the government reforms saying that they have given concrete results for the Albanian business, thanks to the
anti-corruption war.

According to him, the success of the Albanian economy has been recognized worldwide.

“Only one week ago, the Business School of the World declared that the two most stable economies in Europe are Germany among the biggest and Albania among the smallest. This is mainly a result of the war against corruption”, Berisha declared.

The Prime Minister added that the Municipality of Tirana is trying everything in its power to fight the corruption of construction permits.

“I am very encouraged by the fact that the municipality of Tirana is taking in consideration the ‘One stop shop’ method for cosntruction permits, which had been a terrible tool of this municipality, ranked 173rd in the world and that was radiating it all over the country”, Berisha declared.

Population registration

Speaking about population and residence registration, the Albanian Prime Minister considered this process as a major national interest. He called charlatans and scoundrels those who oppose the registration, and he even openly insinuated that behind the Red and Black Alliance stands the Albanian President, Bamir Topi.

“This is a major national interest because the registers and the databases of this country should have the Albanian reality of the year 2011. This reality is the opposite of what has been made to appear by jackalswho exploit their freedom for making the most absurd stances. They oppose this, because this registration would reveal all real estates that have been created by the Albanian citizens after working hard in 20 years. They oppose this because the registration would show the new level achieved by the Albanians in their superhuman efforts”, Berisha declared.
