The meeting between the opposition leader and the Prime Minister was
confirmed for this Sunday, where they will discuss about the
Presidential election.
Top Channel sources declared a few hours before Friday’s midnight that their meeting will be held Sunday at 20:30, at the Parliament Assembly.
The Democratic Parliamentary Group leader, Astrit Patozi, has asked the Socialist colleague, Gramoz Ruci, to organize the meeting between the two main parties’ leaders.
The late hour of the meeting was due to the Prime Minister’s busy agenda in southern Albania. This meeting could be a chance for finding compromise about a consensual candidate for President.
It remains unknown if the Prime Minister will insist for electing a president offered by the majority, lik Xhezair Zaganjori, or if they will discuss other names.
But the late hour of the meeting doesn’t leave too much optimism, because the second voting round is Monday at 10:00.
