In today’s government meeting, the Albanian Prime Minister Sali Berisha declared
that the population registration in Albania is a great and important
act, a periodical and very important process for recognizing the
essential reality of the individuals, the society and the nation.
“The Census was postponed to this autumn due to the local elections, because the administration has a very important role in this process”, Berisha declared.
The head of the government emphasized that our nation has never had and never will it have problems with its identity. He added that there is no problem if the citizens give information about their ethnic and religious affiliations,
Berisha appealed the media to turn the registration into a civilized process, to show that Albania has uninterrupted progress.
