Berisha: Rama violates institutions

12/07/2013 20:00

The incumbent Prime Minister, Sali Berisha, accused Edi Rama on Facebook
of avoiding the institutional constitutions, by establishing the office
of “Elected Prime Minister”.

“The Albanian Constitution, and those of all Parliamentary Republics and Constitutional Kingdoms in Europe do not recognize an elected Prime Minister. Besides that, the only ones elected are the Parliament Members, but the Prime Minister is appointed by the Head of State or the Parliament”, Berisha declared.

He added that these basic constitutional norms do not exist for Edi Rama and his 63 Parliament Members.

“He was self-declared Prime Minister and he feels he doesn’t need the President or the Parliament to vote him. Retaliation blinds you. It makes you another Enver Hoxha or another Don Quixote”, Berisha declared on Facebook.
