Berisha: Rama achieved his goal

It appears that the Albanian Prime Minister, Sali Berisha, will make no
more appeals to the opposition leader to vote the three laws that were a
condition for the EU candidate status.
When the member countries declared that they will review their decision as soon as the European Commission will report a new situation from Albania, Berisha declared that Mr. Rama will not allow the Socialist Party to vote for the laws before the elections.
“Edi Rama reached his malicious goal, thinking that by leaving Albania without the candidate status, the opposition would be stronger. I think that the opposition would be stronger in the integration process, by identifying the contribution of all parties in this process. He can delay it, as he did for three years, but his calculations are very wrong. I guarantee the Albanians that he is not voting the laws only because of his malicious against the interest of the Albanian people, which apparently has no limits”, Berisha declared.
Berisha rejected Rama’s declaration, who said that the European Union has set the next elections as a condition for the next time. Berisha declared that the elections are a condition for the candidate status since 2010.
“Through his repeated blocking activity, he told his supporters that the status would be conditioned with the elections. This didn’t happen. Not because the elections don’t have a vital importance, but because the European Commission, the institution that follows every detail closely, did not accept Mr. Rama’s request to include the elections as a condition for the status. They told him that the elections would be a condition for opening the negotiations”, Berisha declared.
Berisha declared that Mr.Rama’s stance is unprecedented, and it hasn’t been taken even by the most extreme forces in Balkan. He also expressed his trust that this situation will be resolved by the Albanians will his vote.
“Rama will not vote, but I guarantee him that the wall that he has built to the Albanians will be demolished in the next elections. No wall can hamper a nation from having a natural process that puts the Albanians closer to the most civilized nations. This blocking will end within 6 months, and it will receive the deserved answer from the Albanians”, Berisha declared.
