The Albanian Prime Minister, Sali Berisha, appealed the opposition
leader, Edi Rama, to give up from what he called a blocking position for
the European future of the country.
While visiting the Mollaj village in Korce, for a traditional fair of apple production, Berisha invited Rama to give up from trying to make bargains with Albania’s integration, and offered a solution for unblocking the situation in the Fier District.
This is a matter to which the Socialist Party has connected their stance about the qualified majority laws, part of the 12 recommendations of the European Commission for Albania.
“The truth is that a small group of his advisers went on the majority’s side, on their free will. Have you ever heard me asking anything to Paulin (Paulin Sterkaj) who passed from my Parliamentary group to his? I invite and I ask the Socialist leader: why don’t you use a motion of no confidence for the current leader of the Fier Council? It’s because there are no votes. He must not block the Albanians, because they do not deserve it. He must unblock the decision so that we can receive the status that we need and go towards the elections, to commit in front of you and all Albanians with dignity for free and honest elections, and to respect your supreme decision”, Berisha declared.
The integration issue and what he calls an intentional blocking from the opposition was part of Berisha’s speech during the inauguration of a reconstructed school in the Mollaj commune.
“Tell me you, dear students. If three or four students from your class would leave the classroom in the middle of the lesson and went outside, what would your impression be? That would be a irresponsible gesture. This happens everyday in Parliament, only to tell that we do not deserve the status. I express my respect to you and your parents, and tell them that your main priority is the European dream. The elections are coming and let them vote for you, for your European dream”, Berisha declared.
By underlining the government’s efforts for modernizing the school infrastructure, Berisha declared that the second phase of this major objective is the race for quality in education and that his government will adopt the Albanian education with the best models in Europe and the world.
Shamku: Berisha violates children
The Socialist Party MP, Ledi Shmaku, reacted against the declaration of Prime Minsiter Sali Berisha in front of the school children, where he made an offer for resolving the Fier issue.
“This scandal of Berisha violates any law and ethical code. He is abusing what every family has the holiest, their children”, Shmaku declared.
The MP declared that SP is convinced that the Albanian parents can clearly read this anomaly of Berisha.
“It’s an expression of the immorality of Berisha and their Ministers. Berisha, by keeping the children under the hot sun today, brought to the attention of every citizen the regime in which he served as a party secretary”, Shmaku declared.
