The Albanian Prime Minister, Sali Berisha, opposed the Kosovo division
ideas, saying that they are “cooked” at Miloshevic’s kitchen and that
the respecting of Kosovo’s borders is a vital interest for all countries
of the region.
According to him, these division ideas are the ones that caused the Balkan tragedies in the last decade of the past century. During this press release with his homologue, Nikola Gruevski, Berisha declared that Albania’s and Macedonia’s future is NATO and the EU.
The Macedonian PM, Nikola Gruevski, declared that the relations between both countries are friendly, accompanied by intensive dialogue, and that these relations could develop further in all areas, especially in constructing common infrastructure projects for attracting foreign investments.
After the meeting with Gruevski, Berisha met the Albanian political leaders in Macedonia, Ali Ahmeti from BDI and Menduh Thaci from the PDSH.
After the meeting with Ahmeti, Berisha underlined that after the conflicts of 2001, the Albanians’ rights in Macedonia have significantly improved.
