Albanian Prime Minister Sali Berisha greeted the arrest of former
Serbian general Ratko Mladic, considering him as one of bloodiest and
darkest figures in the history of Europe and Balkan.

Berisha expressed in a press release that Mladic is direct responsible for the Serbian genocide in Bosnia and especially in Srebrenica, where he executed more than 8000 innocent children, men and women in a few days.

“The arrest, although delayed, is a triumph of international justice and relief for the souls of thousands innocent victims and their families”, Berisha declared.

Mladic was arrested today at Lazarevo village, 80 km north-east of Belgrade, after 16 years on the run. He is accused by the Court of Hague for war crimes, crimes against humanity and genocide.
