The Albanian Prime Minister, Sali Berisha, seemed very enthusiastic about the re-election of President Barack Obama.
Besides valuing President Obama for the hope that inspired him to overcome the worst economic crisis of the last 80 years, and for the creation of new dimensions of peace and world stability, Berisha says that the Americans voted for the re-election of their president not for what he did these four years, but for what he offers to do in the next four years.
This is a slogan that the Prime Minister is using in his campaign to look for a new mandate.
“Between the change promised on paper and the operative change, in every part of the US, the citizens decided to choose the change of President Obama, as a more real, more credible and safer trust”, Berisha declared.
Berisha used this government meeting to invite the opposition leader, Edi Rama, to vote the three remaining laws, without which the European Countries will not give to Albania the EU candidate status.
Since the Socialists rejected the first offer of the Prime Minister to use the vote of confidence for the Head of the District, Berisha made a new offer, according to which all members of the Fier District will go through the vote confidence in the Municipal Councils, so that the three Parliamentary laws will be voted in Parliament.
“I invite him to vote the laws for Albania’s best interest, and since he turned the Fier District into a big cause. This is the most honest offer and Rama should not be scared of motions. It’s absurd to think that you can create political capital by blocking them. Don’t think that the Albanians are unable to tell the difference between the Fier District and the EU Status”, Berisha declared.
The Parliament must vote the three laws that require qualified majority if the country wants to receive the EU Candidate status this December. Since this is the month when the 100th anniversary of independence is celebrated, Berisha invited Rama to include the voting of this law in their celebration agenda, inspired by the message of the 100th year of independence. “Let’s come together for the best interest of the Albanian people”, Berisha declared.
On Tuesday, the Socialist Party leader declared that the opposition will vote the three suspended laws in Parliament only after the Fier District issue will be resolved.
