Berisha inaugurates school in Durres

A 185 million ALL investment was used by the government to construct the
“Barjam Curri 1” school in Durres, which now received 1000 students in
24 classes and 4 labs, with high standards, such as a modern library,
gym and other premises.
Berisha declared that for his government there is nothing more important than the improvement of the education infrastructure and quality.
Considering education the core of progress, Berisha declared tha all investments for knowledge are the best and with most long-term fruits that his government has made and will do for the country.
“We were able to reconstruct 71% of all schools in Albania, and we will continue until every Albanians student will have school of European standards. You are the missionaries of an Albania of knowledge, where these student will build their brightest future”, Berisha declared in his speech.
Berisha focused on the government’s policies to give more financial compensations to the teachers, saying that the wage increase has doubled since 2006, by making a teachers wage half of that of a Prime Minister. Berisha promised that his government will keep having wage increase a priority.
