Berisha: “Corruptive affair with the Drin cascade”

While the government is inaugurating the Banja hydropower plant, former
PM Sali Berisha accuses the Minister of Energy, Damian Gjiknuri, of
dealing with a corruptive affair with the Drin cascade.
Berisha said this is a mega-corruptive affair and accused the Minister of treating Drin as if it was his private property.
“This tender was kept secret and had no official announcements, no invitations for international companies who are present in our energy market. Edi Rama and the thief with a human face, Minister Damian Gjiknuri, created this monstrous corruptive contract”, Berisha said.
According to the former PM, KESH has not respect the laws and has given the management of the Drin cascade to a Serbian company. After the international companies raised complains for being left out the race, the Energy Regulation Entity decided that KESH should interrupt the finalization of the agreement, but KESH continued its procedures.
