The Albanian Prime Minister threw serious accusations against those that
oppose the population registration on ethnic and religious bases.
He called the population registration a great act of the free citizens, and attacked, although without mentioning names, the organizers of the campaign against this registration, such as the Red and Black Alliance.
Berisha declared that those who pour crocodile tears, are afraid to show their face, and that they are desecrating the state and the constitution by using the national identity.
Part from Prime Minister’s speech:
“The postponement of the Census to this autumn has nothing to do with the desperate screams of some individuals who, due to their personal interests, put in question the identity, the essence, the entity of this society. The only reason why the Census was postponed is because of the electoral campaign for the local elections.
The citizens participated more than in any other elections, and this shows that the Albanians are staying in Albania. Now it is different, and this is a positive development. I am convinced that this has to do with the fact that Albania today is a country of middle and high income, a country that gives more hope to its citizens. They who are trying to pour crocodile tears for the national identity threat, they have the misfortune of being born without an identity. This nation has not suffered and will never suffer for its identity.
Those who use high positions, are desecrating these posts. They are desecrating the Constitution for their posts. They are even more piteous than their jackals. Because the jackals, at least they bark, while they are hiding their face. They are afraid to come out, therefore they turn the Constitutional institutions of the country in dens of primitive practices, concepts and atavistic stances. I will not call them anti-nationals, because I cannot connect them with the nation. This term should never be used for them.
