The Democratic Party held a meeting with the residents of Manza, where
the Albanian Prime Minister, Sali Berisha, accused the Socialist Party
leader, Edi Rama, of blocking the European Union integration process
with his policy. Berisha attacked the tax offered by Rama, saying that
it will damage the small business.
“Today, when all countries in the world are lowering taxes, and when all institutions in the world are staying that Albania survived to the crisis and didn’t fall to recession, he (Rama) threatens to remove the low taxes and impose a tax that was first imposed by his uncle, Spiro Koleka”, Berisha declared.
“We have imposed the flat tax, which is the most honest that has ever existed in the centuries. With this tax everyone pays only 10% of what he earns”, the Prime Minister specified, considering the proposition for removing VAT on basic foods as destructive.
“He said that he will remove VAT for milk, but what will the Albanian farmers do, who sell milk to keep their families? This is an adventure, because you want to sell milk and keep the market”, Berisha declared.
He promised to reimburse the oil and VAT excise for agricultural machineries and inputs.
“We will increase pensions for miners, and will bring back the 13th wage. We promise to build the entire infrastructure with the most modern conditions in your village. We will build an irrigation system for you and all farmers”, Berisha declared.
A few moments later Berisha visited the town of Fushe Kruje, where he made other promises and expressed his gratitude for the support that this area has given to the Democratic Party.
“Gratitude for the support that you have given to the Democratic Party. Together we made positive changes in our infrastructure. We are building roads, schools and health centers. We will do everything to attract foreign investments”, Berisha declared.
Berisha inivites Skrapari citizens
The Albanian Prime Minister, Sali Berisha, visited the Corovoda town in Skrapar, known as a left-wing stronghold. For the first time Berisha commented Rama’s campaign.
Berisha asked the Skrapar residents to join the Democratic Party and give their area the chance to turn from a geographical isolated pocket, as left by the Socialist government, according to him, into a tourist area where modern infrastructure is connecting it with Korce and Permet”.
“You are clever people and he is trying to lie. He is a failed person and his meetings are empty. The citizens have abandoned him. He fabricates polls each day and uses camera effects to make crowds seem bigger. We are free citizens who are waiting for the June 23rd elections, to sign our victory”, Berisha declared.
From Corovoda, where Ilir Meta’s Socialist Movement for Integration has a significant electoral influence, Berisha declared: “I speak freely. I was not raised near the feet of the Tomorr Mountain, but near the Shkelzen Mountain. I will tell Ilir Meta to ask Rama to apologize to Skrapari citizens for the collective offenses that he has done. He should apologize for attacking his new ally for his origin. You shouldn’t vote him if he doesn’t do this”, Berisha declared.
Berisha inspects Canion Road
During his visit in Corovoda Berisha inspected the road near the Osum Canions, in which are predicted also some panoramic emplacements for tourists. 50% of the work is already over in the Canion Road that will connect Corovoda with the surrounding areas.
“In the next four years we will build the Magjata-Goraj-Velagosht road, and every other road in this commune. We will build the high school with profiles of agriculture, and we will rebuild every other school in this commune, Berat and everywhere. We will build protective dams at the Tapi village, and a modern irrigation system”, Berisha declared.
Another road in the Berat district is the one that connects the Perondi commune with Kucova. In the meeting with the local residents, Berisha invited them to join the alternative that works for the welfare of the Albanian people.
“I invite you on the June 23rd elections to join us for a bigger support of your farms, for a similar infrastructure with the cities, and for better wages and pensions”, Berisha declared.
