Berisha announces Basha: “DP’s Cream of the Crop”

During his speech, Berisha described former Interior Minister as the person that has achieved only successes in his political career; therefore, Berisha explained, he will transform the Albanian capital city “after winning the elections”.

“Democratic Party and the ‘Alliance for the Citizen’ is proud to support one of the most successful personalities in the Democratic Party, one of the best known citizens of Tirana, the talented intellectual, Lulëzim Basha”, Berisha declared.

“We chose Basha because he has met only excellent results during his life. He was the high-school student that excelled in the anti-communist movement, the student that excelled in Utrecht, one of the world’s best universities.
Basha is the man that excelled in the war against Milosevic, Basha is the man that without internet or double-clicks was able to study and achieve the first place in one of the most important “human rights” competition.”

Berisha continued his speech using the “moral qualities” card of his candidate.
“Lulëzim Basha is a model husband, a model parent; therefore he will be a model Mayor for a European Tirana, the city to which he contributed so much”.

While praising the image of Edi Rama’s rival for the Albanian’s capital battle, the Prime Minister pointed out Basha’s “marvelous” abilities in the efforts to reunite the nation with the Durrës-Kukës road, which was built when Basha was Minister of Transports.

According to the Prime Minister, Basha is also “the man that traveled to Brussels and realized the greatest dream of all Albanians. As Foreign Minister, he played a key role on Albania’s NATO membership” Berisha said, praising the democrat candidate as his “co-traveler in the road of dreams coming true, during these successful years of governing.”

Berisha expressed his conviction that Basha will do everything possible to change Tirana’s face, a city that according to him has been in an economic stagnation for the last six years.

“We owe Basha and Tirana. He has played a key role in the government that has constantly tried to transform Tirana’s face and to improve the citizen’s life, but without success, because of Tirana’s Mayor, whose only intention has been to transform Tirana into a concrete jungle Our government’s funds for the Tirana municipality are five times bigger now, but nothing has changed, because of bad administration. This will never happen with Basha.” Berisha said.

According to Berisha, Lulëzim Basha has one more reason to transform Tirana into “the city of our dreams”, because the Prime Minister had just learned the news that his candidate is expecting his second child.
