The OSCE office in Tirana celebrated the international day of human
rights. Prime Minister Edi Rama declared in his speech that peace and
security are always related to the human rights.

“Today we need to value the help of the OSCE in the long efforts that we had to pass until the elections were freed. Today we can value the readiness of the OSCE in Kosovo and for the rights of minorities”, Rama declared.

While the Prime Minister was speaking, his predecessor, Sali Berisha, abandoned the activity for motives that he explained later through a letter sent to the media.

“I told the Deputy Ambassador of the OSCE that I am obliged to leave the celebration since the biggest violator of human rights in Albania is holding a speech about them. The man who has turned Albania into a first country for prisoners, with statistics higher than in Syria or Iraq”, Berisha declared.

Rama concluded his speech by referring to the presence of some Democratic Party MPs: “I never expected the opposition to stay and listen to my words in presence of the OSCE”, Rama declared.
