There are 940 people in Albania who undergo 156 dialysis sessions each
year, with a cost of 80 EUR for each session, all paid by the
government. Half of these patients receive this service from private
hospitals since 2007, and the government pays for the service.
The DP accused the government of having already decided the winner of this tender, which is very necessary to expand since the number patients increases and the situation in other cities is very difficult, according to Minister Beqaj.
Beqaj rejected the opposition’s accusations, including the 61 million EUR value of the concession, calling it a cynical declaration. He said that the new service will be possible in other Cities far from the capital.
