The Civil Court decided to not take any action on the assets of the
Belle Air Company, until the Court decides about the company’s filing
for bankruptcy.
In the session of this Monday, the Court accepted the request filed by the company’s lawyer, for establishing a temporary security measure on the assets. According to Avni Shehu, this measure is necessary for protecting the company’s assets from crditors and for not allowing abuses.
On the same session, the Court heard the report of the expert appointed for assessing the financial situation of the company.
According to the expert, the company fulfills the legal condition for filing for bankruptcy. The expert says that the company has no liquid money and has accumulated a short-term debt that mounts up to 21.5 million EUR. By the end of the session, the Court asked the Tax Office Director for the balances of the last three years.
Belle Air interrupted its flights on November 24th, leaving hundreds of travelers on airports, after they had paid for tickets and traveled with this company until one day before they filed for bankruptcy.
