The “Bella Air” airline filed for bankruptcy today, but not for
liquidation. They want a reconstruction until they can pay all debts
they have to the Albanian state and to third parties.

The company’s lawyer, Avni Shehu, declared that the total obligations that Belle Air owes to taxes, banks, airport and other actors, reaches 51.7 million EUR, while the company’s assets reach 60.3 million EUR.

The lawyer asked the appointment of a temporary administrator to survey the company until it is restructured. But the court appointed an expert that will value the assets of the company, to verify if it can file for bankruptcy.

The lawyer underlined once again that they are filing for bankruptcy due to the difficult financial situation of the company, created by the frozen bank accounts. The next meeting will be on December 12th.

The company interrupted flights 10 days ago, leaving hundreds of citizens on the road.

They were able to fly to other destinations through a company that covered Belle Air’s flights, the Blue Panorama, by paying 60 Euros more for every trip.
