Belgrade has reacted to the declaration of Edi Rama at the Prishtina Parliament on the 10 anniversary of independence, when he said that Kosovo and Albania need to have a common President of national unity.
The Foreign minister, Ivica Dacic, says that he is surprised by the reaction of Brussels.
“Rama said it very clearly. Albania and Kosovo need to be one state with a single President, one foreign policy and one security policy, and no one criticizes him”, Dacic said for Tanjug.
Dacic made a comparison to the Serbian Republic in Bosnia.
“What should we do? Should we say that we need a single president with the Srpska Republic, a single foreign and security policy?”, the Serbian Foreign Minister declared.
According to Dacic, Serbia is staying away from provocations, yet receiving unfair critics from the EU.
“No one can say that there are no double standards here”, Dacic added.
