Bekteshi: “I hit the police vehicles to leave, because I felt frightened”

“I was driving the vehicle that I had taken from Petrit Cela, without telling him”, Bekteshi said, insisting that his actions had no aggressive intentions.

“I didn’t mean to hit the vice chief of police. I left the site because I felt frightened of the situation”, Bekteshi said.

Another argument through which the defendant wanted to reinforce his variant, was that he was under the effect of drugs. “I have been using cannabis for the past 12 years”, Bekteshi said.

After hearing Bekteshi, the judge panel accepted the measure proposed by Prosecutors and left him in prison, together with his brother-in-law, Aleks Pupuleku, also involved in this event.
