The Democratic Party leader, Lulzim Basha, considered the recovery of
the biggest opposition force as a necessity and national urgency for
saving the country from what he considered the governing of ignorant,
depressive and incriminated rulers.
“24 years ago we brought down dictatorship and destroyed communism. We replaced ignorant rulers with noted intellectuals.
10 years ago we removed the most corrupted government of Europe and replaced it with a political and intellectual elite of western values.
Albania requested us for great works and we honored it, because honest, capability and freedom are our political DNA. Times have changed but challenges remain the same.
We hear our country yelling for help, to save it from the depressive, delirious rulers and the crime world. Our country supports once again our strength, our honesty and our values.
That’s why these elections are of capital importance. We are not simply electing a few leaders, but an entire system that will definitely transform the profile of the national leadership”, Basha declared.
470 of the 499 delegates that were present in Vlore will vote between two candidates for leading their local party branch.
