The Democratic Party leader, Lulzim Basha, visited the residents affected by the Darzeza floods, the mostly damaged area. The residents complained that the government has not been present at all.

“The priority for now should be helping citizens and their properties, and supplying water and food for the people and the cattle around”, Basha declared.

The opposition leader declared that the government should stop appearing on TV but go on terrain and start giving maximal efforts, including the declaration of the emergency situation.

“All government resources should be made available to the citizens. No one has been here so far. The difficulties that people are facing here are real. They are surrounded by water, their properties are completely flooded, they don’t have food for themselves or for their cattle. I do not understand why the government has not declared the emergency situation yet”, Basha declared.

Basha was careful to show cooperation with the commune leaders in  the Vlore district.

“We appeal local and central governments to cooperate. We guarantee that our MPs will cooperate, but this Prime Minister must wake up”, Basha declared.
