The process of new elections in the Democratic Party helped the biggest
opposition force to identify the new memberships, since one year ago
there was a big lack of database, which created confusion in the race
for the party’s leadership.
One year after Lulzim Basha was elected leader of the DP, he says that the digitalization of the membership register will be a new standard that will be key for the free vote and the election of new leaders.
During the conference in Berat, Basha used this as an argument to deny voices that the electoral process has brought divisions in several branches.
“The evaluation of anybody’s work and the contribution, based on the results and based on the free vote of the DP, will remain our motto for progress. This is why we are in this process. This is why we have started this big, extraordinary and unprecedented campaign, that is being seen with envy by the historic left wing of the Albanian politics, and who are trying to throw mud against it. We can say with pride today that we are the first political party in Albania, and among the few in Southeastern Europe, who have digitalized correctly and without fiction the register of 101,000 members”, Basha declared.
During the Berat conference, the DP leader spoke about the economic situation in our country, and said that it has deteriorated.
“They promised 300,000 new jobs. How many new jobs were created in Berat? They have closed jobs in all Albania. Even their Institution of Statistics says that unemployment here has changed from 13,9% to 18,3%”, Basha declared.
According to the DP leader, the government’s balance for the first 300 days is a weak economy and an unsafe future.
