It seems that Basha and Rama have started a public battle to give blame for the delays with the EU integration.
When one farmer complained that his land was taken away from him, Edi Rama’s question was an accusation against the justice system and the opposition.
“In 25 years, the courts that are the main pillar of a state, turned into bazaars of people’s rights. DP has now barricaded itself with judges who don’t want to give up, but they keep blocking the justice reform”, Rama said.
The Prime Minister accused the opposition and judges of collaborating and blocking the further EU integration.
Lulzim Basha answered by saying that this was a demagogy: “Edi Rama has abandoned its people. He has abandoned the truth. The world and Europe are ringing the alarm bells for crime and drug, and he blames the opposition, putting the country’s integration path in danger with this reality”, Basha said.
