The Democratic Party leader, Lulzim Basha, accused the government of
Prime Minister Edi Rama of violating the western democratic values by
putting in danger the European future of the country.

As for what he called “life threats” made to the Democratic Party MP, Gent Strazimiri, adding that it was by order of the Prime Minister, Basha considered it an aggression and threat against the entire opposition.

“The crime and violence have occupied our squares and politics. This evil started 300 days ago, with the destruction of the police, and continued with economic deterioration, with the runing of institutions, with the drug traffic, violence and vulgarism from the Prime, Minister, mafia murders and eliminations of the business elite. This is not stopping. The second 300 days started with an aggression of the political crime against the opposition in Parliament, and aggression against the freedom of speech, against the interests of the Albanian people. And you have not seen everything, as he declared from the Parliament, because he knows very well the hate pathology that he has against the adversaries”, Basha declared.

By accusing Prime Minister Rama of turning the Parliament into a den of crime, the opposition leader appealed the citizens to react with every democratic means to stop in time what he called “revival of the evil”.

“Now it is time to stop the evil and stop it before it triumphs. We belong to the European civilization that cannot be represented with this minority of sick medieval minds. We should not allow this evil to occupy the present, the future and the country of our children. Our mission and that of any patriot is to return normality to the Albanian people”, Basha declared.
