The Democratic Party presented their newest offer for taxes, which,
according to Lulzim Basha, will return the trust to the Albanian
economy.
“We are in a situation that everyone knows. It is difficult to find MPs even from the majority that are happy with the fiscal progress of our government. The government official documents show that the high-tax policy does not work. The economy is getting worse. Businesses are going bankrupt. Revenues are dropping because of increased smuggling”, Basha said before unfolding their “new vision for a fiscal revolution that will return trust to the Albanian economy”.
“We will start with a flat tax of 9% and will save the small businesses from the unjust repression of the Tax Office. Tax on profit will be 0.5% of the turnover for the small business”, Basha declared.
The DP leader said that Albania will have the more competitive VAT of 15%.
