Democratic Party leader Lulzim Basha said from Washington he received support from high level officials in the United States for opposition requests for a technical government in Albania and the resignation of Prime Minister Rama.
“Albania’s allies should be informed for the situation in the country, where crime is in power. I got the support from officials I met here for our cause for free and fair elections”, Basha said. “Rama should open the way for a technical government because we are not going to allow farce elections”.
Asked what the measures of the opposition will be if the government goes on as planned, Basha replied: “We have peaceful means not to allow this process. There will be no elections, there cannot be elections. If they will try to hold farce elections, the Democratic Party and the citizens will not allow it”.
