Although the local elections are still several months away, the Mayor of
Tirana, Lulzim Basha, gave a message to the government leader, Edi
Rama.
“It is difficult to raise and reach standards, but it is very easy to step down. Let’s remember this before the next elections”, Basha declared.
Referring to the problems that the opposition has raised with concern for years, such as the increased electricity price, the demolishing of constructions, raise of fines, etc, Basha underlined that the government is not working with the people’s problems, but they are increasing them by increasing poverty. For this he reminded once again the people’s vote.
“This is the goal of the local or central power: to make life easier to citizens and serve them by increasing the quality of services, not alike the convictions of those who see power as the high horse of arrogance, from which they don’t think about making life easier for their citizens, but, on the contrary, they make it more difficult. They are mistaken, and they will face the punishment of the people in Tirana and throughout Albania. The citizens don’t vote politicians to violate their rights, but to resolve their problems”, Basha declared.
The Mayor inaugurated the construction works of the Pasho Hysa road, where 66.7 million ALL were invested in the canalization, illumination, paving of roads and other projects. Basha said that this will increase the property value of the residents and will keep them closer to the capital.
