After receiving the progress report from the EU ambassador in Tirana,
the opposition leader, Lulzim Basha, blamed PM Edi Rama for the fact
that the EU accession negotiations did not start this time.

“He is responsible for not enabling democratic elections and by destroying the electoral process. He is delaying the consensus for decriminalization and he is protecting the criminalized people he promotes in Parliament and municipalities. Killers tied with drugs and prostitution. He accuses the justice system but he refused to appoint judges at the Supreme Court because he uses the ones whose mandate has expired”, Basha declared.

Basha says the economic damage to the country is as big as the political one. He reiterated the accusations of the opposition for some government members, such as Ilir Beqja, who the opposition accuses of corruption with tenders in the health system. Damian Gjiknuri, for the CEZ agreement. Basha accuses the Interior Minister for the drug traffic and the Minister of Economy and Tourism for the Elbasan landfill tender.

Basha valued the report for the concerns of our country and accused Rama of not reflecting about it. The opposition leader reiterated the appeal for civil disobedience.

“Civilian disobedience, and let’s take the fate of our country in our hands as Europeans, because this government is about to fall and about to face a dark night of wrongdoing. It is time we react altogether”, Basha concluded.
