The Democratic Party leader, Lulzim Basha, reacted after the debates at
the Council of Mandates, for removing the immunity of former Interior
Minister, Saimir Tahiri.
Basha declared that police officers who reported Tahiri’s ties with the Habilaj have been transferred or even fired. He underlined that the evidence of the Antimafia are enough for the Socialist MP.
“Antimafia has presented legal evidence for drug traffic from the Habilaj, who received help from Tahiri. This shows that Rama’s right hand was caught in the act and the entire state is at service of traffickers”, Basha said, listing the evidence.
“Isn’t his vehicle evidence? What about the cannabis plantation? What about the surveillance tape which says that the radars were turned off? The evidence is enough to accept the Prosecution’s request”, Basha declared.
The opposition leader accused PM Rama of attacking justice, trying to cover his people.
“Only those who are afraid try to stop justice. Edi Rama is defending Tahiri, although the Habilaj and Tahiri are the state of Rama. Today’s battle is not for Tahiri”, Basha said.
“Rama knows that he and his government are politically dead. Panicking, now he orders attacks against prosecutors. I appeal him to stop attacking justice”, Basha said.
