On the 25th anniversary of the Democratic Party’s newspaper, DP leader Lulzim Basha made a report of the free speech in 2015.
Basha says 2015 was a bad year for Albanians and the media, which, according to Basha, has faced pressure from the government and crime supported by them.
All this, according to the Democrats, lead to the name of Edi Rama, according to Basha.
“2015 has entered history as a bad year for the free speech. The Rama government closed a TV station that was critical to them. They started an anti-informal action as a pressure instrument against the media in our country. Crime threatened and violated journalists and operators, bandits in uniforms threatened and violated journalists. Cars were burned while government leaders were filmed threatening the free media, as in Qazim Sejdini’s case”, Basha declared.
All this, according to Democrats, are related to Edi Rama, the Prime Minister: “This is product of a person who talks about a media darkness”, Basha declared.
The Democratic Party leader said the media and politics should report corruption: “Who can accept the corrupted tenders of this government? The opposition will not. I hope the media will not, either”, Basha declared.
