Basha: No early elections. Rama must leave

The Democratic Party will not demand early elections in the protest of
this Thursday. They want Prime Minister Edi Rama to resign and the
majority to reflect and stop the galloping drug traffic.

This was the message given by the Democratic Party leader, Lulzim Basha, in a meeting he held with the young members this Wednesday.

“We don’t want elections, but we want the responsible, Edi Rama, to resign. We don’t want a new political majority. We want the current majority to reflect on what the majority of the Albanian people is feeling today. The responsible, Edi Rama, should go home”, Basha declared.

Basha added that our country is going towards the oligarchy of drug barons, and accused Prime Minister Rama of defending a plan he had prepared before coming to power.

“In nine months of the Rama government, the drug has occupied the air. The history here is not the drug airplane in Divjaka. The history is the drug on airplanes, the drug barons and bosses, the drug cartel that is implementing the plan they prepared before the elections, and now they are trying to buy the elections, the power, the freedom, the air, the water, the light and everything we have in this country. They want to buy it with the dirty money of drugs. They want to establish the drug oligarchy, which is the end of freedom and democracy. The question is if we will allow them, or will we rise to stop them?”, Basha declared.

The Democratic Party declared that professionals who have fought the crime have left the police and have been replaced by people with criminal history, fired by the police and the socialist ministers themselves.

The opposition claims that the Albanian Prime Minister, Edi Rama, is staying away from the problems of the Albanian people, and is trying to remove his responsibilities by hiding the truth and by threatening it mafia style.

Earlier the day, the Democratic Party Parliament Member, Arben Ristani, accused the Albanian Prime Minister, Edi Rama, and the Minister of Interior, Saimir Tahiri, of creating an alarming situation of the public security and order.

In a press release, after Prime Minister Rama and Interior Minister Tahiri met with the police structures, Parliament Member Ristani declared that the firing of professionals were made to hire criminal elements who were fired even by the Socialist Party before 2005.

“Edi Rama and his instrument, Saimir Tahiri, destroyed the police when they took power. They denigrated thousands of patriotic police officers who made this country a NATO member and made possible the visa free regime. Rama and Tahiri are hiring among the police elements that had been fired by the Socialist Party”, Ristani declared.

The Democratic Party Parliament Member added that this will have consequences for the public order.

“This will be an expensive bill for the public order and security. The police not only has not been revived, but their wings have been cut. The situation now is with dynamite, drugs and murders. Mr.Rama, you are responsible for the destruction of the police, for the crime situation, and for the drug traffic that has filled Albania and that is pouring to Europe”, he declared.
