Basha: No charges for January 21st victims

The Democratic Party candidate, Lulëzim Basha, said that the January 21st event was tragic, but denied any responsibility by his part.

“January 21st is a tragic event, because four people lost their lives. I haven’t politicized this event. Justice is investigating, and meanwhile, there are no accusations against me. ICITAP has also valued the work of the police”, Basha declared.

On an interview for the Voice of America, the former Interior Minister said that the event is being misused by his political opponents.

“The other party is using the event for political conflicts. We must leave this conflict aside and concentrate on the problems of the citizens”, Basha confirmed.
