The Democratic Party leader, Lulzim Basha, decided to meet women in difficult economic situation. On Facebook he posted a message for all women.
“On the international day of women, I wish many successes to women and their children. Some of them get pleased today with just one flower and others rise in protests for their rights. There are women who have held speeches to the public from luxurious conferences, but many were left without any assistance.
Today, my mind is with all the mothers who have no food for their children, such as Maria in Kamza; I am today the with mothers who were kicked out of the social welfare, with Maristela’s mother in Vora, who couldn’t pay medicine for her asthmatic child; I am with Drita in Kavaja, who sent her two children to school without food, because her name was removed from the social welfare; I am with Valentina, in Shkoder, who was not only removed from social welfare, but her house was also flooded; I am with Anita, from Tirana, who stays in queue at the oncology hospital, and still cannot take the right cure because medicaments are missing. Their pain is a motive for me to do something to change this reality”, Basha wrote.
