The Democratic Party leader, Lulzim Basha, started a tour of with the
party’s base, which is focused on the next parliamentary elections.
The Democratic Party leader said that the communication, inclusion and cooperation with citizens will be the key of the opposition to win against what he considers a cartel of drugs, crime and government corruption.
“How can we win against the gangs, the crime money, drugs and corruption that Edi Rama has collected? The answer is one: by allying with the citizens and giving people the hope that political rotation will not be simply to remove some people from their jobs and replace them with some others”, Basha declared.
He underlined that the alliance with crime and corruption will never be an alternative for the democratic party just to come in power.
“When their most notorious gangs went against the people and democracy, we stood up to the people and became a majority because the people trusted us, not because we had stronger gangsters than them. Our key to victory will never be to answer gangs with gangs. Our strength are the people of Albania”, the opposition leader declared, adding that the DP will reach its goal by giving people hope that their policies will not be simply to change the oligarchs leading the country, but focus on resolving the problems of the people.
