In this time of negotiations between Tirana and Brussels for trying to
find a solution and returning normal parliamentary life, the Democratic
Party appears to have given maximal commitment, but it is still early to
talk about an agreement.
After the meeting with the German Chancellor after her reelection as leader of the CDU, and after receiving support from the leaders of the European Popular Parties, Lulzim Basha confirmed that he discussed with all of them the propositions of the Democratic Party for a political agreement with the government.
This agreement, according to Mr.Basha, would bring an end to the violation of the Constitution, to the denial of the supervisory role of the opposition in parliament, and would resolve the sharp issue of the mechanism that promotes crime from the administration to the Parliament of Albania.
Basha expressed to the CDU leaders his concerns about a lack of reflection from the government, who is saying that the conditions of the opposition are met.
According to Basha, this stance shows the lack of political will from Prime Minister Rama for taking the responsibility about the situation that has been created. Despite the mistrust that he expressed towards Rama, the Albanian opposition leader hopes that the crisis will be resolved by the European Parliament . It seems that several days are needed before reaching that conclusion.
