The opposition leader, Lulzim Basha, met with the European MP, Tanja
Fajon, and said that without the verdicts of the Constitutional Court
there can be no chances for dialogue. Basha underlined during this
meeting that Albania has had steps back as regards the law
implementation, democracy, election standard and economic situation.
“The implementation of the Constitutional Court is not negotiated in any country of the world, it is simply implemented. And this cannot be put in discussion in Albania. The Democratic Party will not withdraw. There will be no thorough political dialogue without the verdicts of the Constitutional Court”, Basha said.
Basha said that Albania’s stability is at risk without the implementation of the decriminalization law.
“People with criminal past, drug traffickers, human traffickers, were appointed MPs, Mayors and in other high-level public administration posts. For this reason, after one year of discussions and negotiations, passed the law for decriminalization and underlined that without the implementation, the Albanian democracy is at risk, together with the stability of Albania”, Basha said.
