The Democratic Party leader, Lulzim Basha, talked with the European Council reporters about the government ties with crime.
In a meeting with Andrej Hunko and Joseph Oreilly, Basha listed drug, corruption, violated media freedom and lack of government will for fair elections, as country’s major problems.
Basha declared that the cannabis spreading around the country is result of the Prime Minister’s agreement with criminal group, turning into a concern of EU countries and a topic of foreign media.
The opposition leader declared that the government ties with politics and the money secured by traffic and corruption will destroy the political process in Albania, and that it puts in danger the next elections.
Basha accused the PM of intentionally delaying the electoral reform, which damages their legitimacy.
